Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park’s “Music in the Moonlight” Gala Announces Its Success

Boca Raton, FL (January 24, 2003) - The Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park announced the success of their first-ever fundraising Gala, “Music in the Moonlight” featuring legendary tenor, Jose Carreras, held on January 17th. The concert gala took place on a record-setting cold weather night in South Florida and the money raised was designated to support programming. Gala supporters enjoyed a pre-concert cocktail reception, the concert and a post-concert dinner in a lavishly decorated tent adjacent to the amphitheater. A pre-concert Brass Ensemble and post-concert String Ensemble were provided by Jeff Kaye Music. A special post-concert visit was made by Jose Carreras thanking all the patrons who made the night special and who worked so hard to bring the vision of the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park to fruition. Mr. Carreras signed autographs and posed for pictures with Gala sponsors and underwriters.

Marta Batmasian served as the chairperson for “Music in the Moonlight” Gala. Ms. Batmasian is a member of the Board of Directors and co-owner of the development firm, Investments, Ltd. This beautiful pin was designed and produced by Les Bijoux Jewelers in Mizner Park and donated for the event. Additional pins, also donated by Les Bijoux Jewelers, reduced in size and cast in 14 carat gold, were distributed in the favor bags given to guests as they concluded the evening and post-concert dinner.
