BOCA
RATON, FL (April 9, 2004) - The Centre for
the Arts at Mizner Park is proud to announce the appointment
of Mark W. Glickman, CFRE as Executive Director of the
organization, effective June 1. Mark Glickman has been
a professional fundraiser for 25 years. Prior to his
position with the Centre, Mr. Glickman was the Executive
Director of the Jewish Community Foundation of South
Palm Beach County, a position that he held for fourteen
years. During his tenure at the Jewish Community Foundation,
Mr. Glickman increased the Foundation’s current
and deferred assets from $18 million to $154 million.
Mr. Glickman will be responsible for leading the Centre’s
fundraising efforts and day-to-day operations. “Having
been involved in the arts in South Florida for the last
14 years, it is evident that the Greater Boca Raton
community wants and deserves an outstanding performing
arts venue” stated Glickman. “There is a
tremendous core of arts supporters in the Boca Raton
area and we are confident they will be enthusiastic
about this exciting and much needed venue.”
Mr.
Glickman is the past president of the Planned Giving
Council of Palm Beach County, board member of the Greater
Boca Raton Estate Planning Council, and a past president
of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Association
of Fundraising Professionals where he was honored in
2001 as the Outstanding Professional Fundraiser of the
Year. He is also president of the Master Chorale of
South Florida.

arts facility, our Board believes that Mark’s
experience and love for the arts will be invaluable”

for the Center for the Arts at Mizner Park, “we

The
Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park is a not-for-profit
organization, dedicated to creating a cultural heart
for the entire South Florida community, located at Mizner
Park in Boca Raton. The Centre is currently developing
a three-phase project on the north end parcel of land
at Mizner Park, which when completed, will include the
Count de Hoernle outdoor Amphitheater (Phase II) which
opened to the public in November 2002 and the indoor
performing arts hall and arts education building (Phase
III). The Boca Raton Museum of Art (Phase I), located
to the west of the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater opened
to the public in January 2001.
