ANNOUNCES 2ND ANNUAL MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
 Boca
Raton, FL (August 13, 2003) - The Centre for the
Arts at Mizner Park is pleased to announce the second
annual music scholarship competition for orchestral
instruments, piano and voice named the Michael and Madelyn
Savarick Annual Music Scholarship Competition. The Scholarship
Competition is open to all talented people in the tri-county
area of South Florida - students from middle school
through graduate school.
The
music scholarship auditions will be held at the Amarnick-Goldstein
Auditorium on the grounds of Lynn University on Saturday,
March 27, 2004. An awards luncheon, honoring the scholarship
recipients and their families, sponsors of the Scholarship
Competition, the judges and volunteers is scheduled
for Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Boca West Country Club.
The Centre for the Arts will award scholarships in denominations
of $500 up to $5,000 dependant upon availability and
talent.
Completed
music scholarship applications and audition tapes/CDs
must be submitted to the Centre for the Arts by January
23, 2004 for consideration and preliminary judging.
